Default 09-14 Fuel Pump Replacement

Hey y’all, I tried searching on here and could not find anything. If I missed it then please link me.

I have a fuel inlet code so I figure the pump or filter is shot and plan to replace everything in the tank.

2010 F-150 XLT Super Cab 4.6L
190,000 Miles

My questions:
1) What all is in the tank? That way I can order everything before I start.
2) Is the replacement easier done by gas tank drop or bed removal?

Thanks!

Give specific details about your truck, not a year range.

What do you mean by "fuel inlet code"? I don't think that that is a thing. Post the actual code.

Good luck.

It is a check fuel fill inlet. It usually means there isn’t sufficient fuel pressure. If it isn’t a leak where the fuel goes in (gas spot where you put it in) then it is related to a poor pump or filter. I just want to replace all of it at once.

That's an EVAP system code. Might just be a bad gas cap.

I’ll check it. It doesn’t have a cap but looks tight.

Soak the fuel filler door in wd40, get the fuel filler funnel from under the passenger seat, and exercise that fuel door 50 times before you spend any money
