Should I do a coolant system flush, would that take care of that issue? Would probably be a good idea anyway.

Another question about this plug. I like the idea of tapping the hole and putting a bolt in it, however, intake is still on the truck, not sure tapping it would be a good idea. Would pushing that rubber plug below the surface and filling it with JB weld or something similar suffice?

This morning, checked it briefly, and coolant level is now an inch below the low mark. I know water evaporates, but wouldn't think that would be the case here, truck is parked on gravel so really cant tell if there was a wet spot anywhere. Any other ideas where it could leak from?
search youtube for user fordtechmakeulco, and find his diy coolant flush video. follow it.

jrandis04,

Many, many of the posts in this forum (and others) are open ended. Problem stated, solutions suggested but no closure. Thank you for posting feedback that allows future readers to understand and consider your experience with the issue.

BTW: Central Indiana gets pretty cold in the winter, might be a good idea to check for freezing point, testers are under $5 at most auto parts stores. A final mixture of 50/50 (your target value) has a freezing point of about negative 35F.
