Hello everyone,

I have a 2004 f150 lariat with 5 fifth digit vend. I am wanting to put a newer engine in my truck as it has a lot of miles on it and it suffered catastrophic failure the other day by having a chain guide brake and shoot threw my valve cover. I have found a few for a decent price the best being out of an 08. I am wondering if anyone has done an engine swap in this year or is it even possible. If so what mods might I need to do. Any input will be much appreciated.

 

engine code is 4G-692-AA I have tried to solve this myself and calling around. I just don't want to buy an engine and it not mate with the ECU bell housing ECT...ECT...And be stuck with it..
