Default Door Exchange

Really not sure where this belongs. My 2005 black F150 3 door 5.4L has manual windows, mirrors and door locks. I found an black 2004 F150 3 door with good doors that have all the power features.
My question is whether my truck is already wired for the power options such that I can just pull the old doors and mirrors, bolt and plug in the new ones, and enjoy the power features?

What do you mean by 3 door? There were no three door F150’s in 2005.

When I check compatibility charts for my truck, it lists the 3-door which I assume describes the small door on the passenger side that allows access to the jump sear area in the rear. No?

Extended cab F150s have had four doors since ‘99 (I think). I had a 98 three door. I would imagine your truck is wired for power windows, but im not certain.

@wufibugs

Jump seat? Which cab do you have? The last trucks with jump seats were the old rangers.

You either have a regular cab with no seats, two full front doors and two very small rear doors, super cab with a full bench in the back and reward opening doors, or super crew with a full bench and 4 full doors.

All the trucks have 4 doors. The haven’t had 3 doors since like 1998.

He probably has a regular cab with the 2 small suicide doors like mine.

You know, since my 1998 had 3 doors I haven't bothered to check to see if the driver's side has a door, but I'll take your word that it does. The rear seat bottom folds up.
Having settled that, does anyone know if my two front doors with manual windows/locks can just be swapped out for the doors that have power controls for windows, locks and mirrors and if my truck already has the plug for the electrical wiring?
