Default Custom Center Console

So I took out the 40/60 bench and added an expy bucket seat. With the new found room, a metal welded up box of some sort sounds pretty cool to bolt up to the original bolts.

I was thinking a little box to seat height with a latching lid and maybe a keyed lock for safe keeping of my valuables, tools etc

Then, making a soft cover on top and sides to keep from people getting hurt on the metal edges.

Anyone have some ideas for me!?

I like the idea. I'd make it tall enough that it's useful as an arm rest, and strong enough that you can prop yourself up on it when you get in the truck.

Most definitely make sure you have thick padding around the top corners, or use tubing to have a nice radius to upholster over.

I would like to see some pictures. I have thought of doing something with mine too. Just not sure what yet.

I built my console for my small cobra CB and a large storage area and good sized cup holders!
