Recently purchased a 2022 XLT with Chrome package (Feb 2022), and the look of chrome is gnawing at me, Have heard that powder coating is a viable alternative.

Has anyone had success going from chrome to more of sport package (XLT) look?

Paint, vinyl wrap, or bumper swaps are your options.

 

Body color vinyl wrap is probably your best option.

 

Chrome can be painted, like anything else, just has to be prepped right.... scuffed, cleaned, wiped, primer, then painted. Plastic trim is the same process except you have to add in the adhesion promoter before primer.
