Default 2009 front strut leveling kit - custom

Hello everyone,

First post here, sorry if it has been talked about previously but i could not any info, or on google either.

Im curious if anyone has the bolt pattern for the upper strut mount. 2009 f150 fx4 supercab 4x4 as far as i can see 2004-2014 are the same.

I am a cnc machinist and want to make a 2" leveling kit. Struts are on the way but id like to make it before i recieve them so its ready to go.

Thank you!

Mitch

While I have nothing against wanting to make a leveling kit, you can buy what you're trying to make for under $100. And a lot of places will include shipping with that price.

Yes i know i have seen them on amazon but when i have free time in the shop i can make a set for free. Actually I'll get paid to make them haha. When we are slow the boss allows us to make stuff for ourselves like that.

You should be able to measure the bolt patter by opening your hood and looking where the bolts come through the inner fender.

I made a set of 3/8" spacers (which produce 1/2" @ the wheel) to augment the 1.5" Bilsteins, as the 2.25 setting was too stiff. I don't have the dimensions but I have it stuck in my memory that it was not quite a symmetrical 120° bolt pattern. After tracing the inner and outer circles on the plate, I look the high-tech route and used my old spacers as bolt patterns. Farm shop fabrication at it's finest......
Also, if you build them in the traditional form of plates welded to a tube, you'll want to offset the upper and lower plates 180° to prevent the upper and lower bolts from conflicting. As a result the struts will be rotated 180 when they go back in. Regardless of abilities and facilities, I'd rather just buy them.

Material and tool access may be free, but time and frustration are not... Agreed.

You all doubt my skill as a machinist. I make molds for medical industry. A ring with a few holes is a piece of cake. I shall reply with a picture when the job is complete. Just wanted a bolt pattern not a discussion on wether or not its economical to machine one yourself or not. And i guarantee, if you all could do it you would aswell. See you back in a week or so with the finished product.

Nobody doubted your technical skills. We questioned the practicality of self-manufacturing such a readily available and inexpensive piece. Now I think we question your reading abilities.

Lol, Perry, if you refer to my original post i simply asked for a bolt pattern. If you didnt have that then why bother posting. I dont care if they cost $100 or they cost $10,000. The point of this post was for a bolt pattern. So enjoy your day trolling the rest of this forum.

I've been an industrial ag fabricator probably longer than you've been alive, so grow up and get over yourself. I tried to give you a couple simple pointers, since I've been into several of these Ford IFS front suspensions and am quite familiar with them. Apparently that was a mistake.
PS- If you have all these mad skills, why can't you extrapolate the pattern via measurement/triangulation?
