A-Z Plan Pricing help
Hi guys, I need a little help with Ford Employee pricing. This is the first time my wife and I will be using her brother’s PIN to purchase a new F-150. We looked at one 2019 XLT 302A, the dealer sales price was at $38k but when we asked about A Plan pricing they told us $43k. Is it common for the dealer sales price to be less than the A Plan pricing and can you us all of the dealer incentives combined with the A Plan?
Here’s a link to the truck we looked at. Thanks everyone.

I've seen dealer pricing beat x plan, but have not seen it beat az plan. Ask to see the invoice for your truck. There will be boxes at the bottom that list plan prices. You can also ask the family member to invite you to the axz website where you can see pricing for everything on the lot. Remember that you still get promotions on top of plan pricing.

$46k was the price listed in the box on the bottom of the invoice sheet. Then he added on about $3k in rebates. But the internet sales price was still lower. I’ll have to try the website again, I used it once and it said “see dealer.”
One more thing to add... I've bought a few cars on az plan. In my experience, not all dealerships / sales staff are fully familiar with it. Ask them to run a smartvincent report on the truck you are looking at and apply the discounts to the price you see on the invoice where it lists az pricing. I've also got a few k off by taking the Ford financing and then switching a day after delivery.
I wasn’t sure if it was possible to have their addition rebates added to the $46k invoice price rather than the MSRP

What the X-plan was good for me was that it was easier to use when it was a time where dealer wasn't wanting to discount much. Plus I'm a no bull**** guy and my sales guys retired so I went to the sales manager directly and skipped a salesman. I told him I was a hard sell and what I expected and what I was willing to pay. He actually went beyond my expectations where I got a discount, overall, on the truck that was over $13K including $6750 in rebates.
Good discount from the dealer on that White Sport truck. Rebates around me went down to what you get, so it went down $1000, but dealer looks like he's making it up in his dealership discount. You should be able to do better.
I will caution you about that truck. Just as a handful at my dealer, it only has a hitch receiver and no tow package. It will be limited in towing to about 6,000 lbs. I had to be careful, like I said, as my dealer had trucks with no tow package but had a hitch receiver which is somewhat deceiving. I say deceiving as previous generations either didn't come with a hitch receiver or they only came with one when it was included in a HD Tow package.
Also if you're like me and want the larger 36 gallon gas tank, a 3.55 locking axle, integrated brake controller, and the tow package, you are better off buying the 3.5L Ecoboost with the Max Tow Package. The Max Tow package comes with all that, which is such a big discount, over buying everything separately, it will cover the upgrade cost ($600) of the 3.5L Ecoboost over the 5.0L. One of the reason why I went 3.5L Ecoboost this time instead of the 5.0L V8 I had on the last 2 F150s. This can be seen when using the Ford website, build your truck, application.
I couldn't figure out why my truck MSRP was so much less than other trucks with similar options. Found out it's how the dealer orders the truck. You can actually get more options, for a lower MSRP, if ordered correctly.

I've bought on A plan all my life. When I was purchasing my Focus ST I found one that was priced below A plan. Until the dealership added all the fees they charged that A plan wouldn't allow. Have the dealership show you the numbers on both. I bet A plan wins.
I looked it up. A plan is a little less than 43k.
