This kind of stuff is exactly why It's worth it to me to buy the extended/enhanced coverages. I have 100,000 miles or 72 months of warranty for like 23 extra dollars/month plus maintenance. Completely worth every penny to me even just for the peace of mind. We all need to remember these are machines and all machines wear and break. I've heard good things about the durability if ecoboost 3.5/2.7 but things can and will still happen. I would stop driving it if I were you, could very easily be causing more damage.

I'll update with any new findings for sure. I just checked everything and again from what I can tell everything looks like where it should be and no leaks either. I checked my my new intake and it looked okay. I'm going to have to save disconnecting the battery for tomorrow because it seems I misplaced my wrench somewhere. Thanks again for the input, it means a lot guys.

After reading all the BS that goes on with these new trucks, I went for the lifetime warranty. Shouldn't have to do that, but Ford isn't the only one, look at chevy and Dodge. Just my .02 worth. Happy motoring!

Thanks Wolfpack, I definetly won't be driving it until I can schedule something with the dealer. I agree about the warranty however my dealer screwed me over by lying to me. I wanted the same extended warranty coverage and service plan like my father got on his truck, but all I got was the basic warranty. They made a fool out of me and it's my fault for not looking it over closely. This was my first vehicle purchase so I was caught in the moment, too excited to get this truck. I worked really hard for this truck and the dealer just had to pull one on me like that. sort of off topic but anyway I learned a big lesson there. I hope this ends up being minor, but I have my doubts. I also hope if my issue gets fixed it can help somebody out in the future because no matter the cause it's evil to separate a man and his beloved truck!

I agree no matter what company you decide to buy from there is always the possibility of failure big or small. You just really hope it doesn't happen to you warranty or not. I for one will get a lifetime warranty when the time comes to buy a new truck.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with your dealer. It's so unfortunate that some dealers are not as honest as others as it reflects on consumer opinions about the company, even though dealers are separate. Hopefully they get you fixed up. What I've found out over the years is that the manufacturer doesn't always have control over faulty parts from suppliers and tends to be the issue more times than not. The design and assembly can be great, but if one critical part supplied from somewhere else is bad, it can be a big let down. You may still be eligible for extended warranty though and with how advanced the vehicles are now, computers/turbos and all it may be worth a look. Good luck!

Something similar happened to friend's KR. It was simply the throttle body boot had popped off the throttle body. Make sure it's seated well on there. With his, the gap where it wasn't seated was on the underside, so you couldn't really see it from up top.

Did you by chance connect to ODB II port and see what DTCs are in there?

Also check all tubing/plumbing to intercooler. Check ground connections and wires harness for damage/cuts.

I am not familiar with the exact set up on these, but if it has metal up pipes, when they crack, their is a squealing, whistling noise

I almost always think that when I see one of these complaints. This is not your problem and I don't want to make it mine. The Dealer will fix it for free.
