Default Yakima Baseline Mounting

I recently installed the Yakima Baseline on my 2015 supercab. Per Yakima the base pads that I have are correct, however they just don't seem to fit in the gutter correctly. Now the rack is rock solid, so for all I know, this is how it's supposed to fit, but it just doesn't look right. For those of you with the Yakima Baseline installed on your trucks, do your pads sit the same way? TIA

Bump. I can't be the only one with a Yakima roof rack?

I don’t have one but if it was me, I’d shave the mounts down so they fit in the channel

Try sending the question to Yakima. In the past they've been responsive, and they test their things out on individual vehicles and have specific placement measurements with their parts. I bet they could look at your pictures, and compare it to their pictures, and give an answer.

But I agree with you, it looks wrong, almost like it expects a OEM plastic filler to be in the trough taking up some of that room. Shaving it down would lower the mounts and likely cause the metal brackets to hit and mark the side. But I don't have yakima mounts on my f150, and the other cars use the factory rails.

I’ve been trying to reach out to Yakima for a few days now. Last night I was finally able to get a hold of someone, sent them a bunch of pictures with measurements so we’ll see what they say.
