Xplan and rebate program #91160
Has anyone bought a new 2017 using this program? It is a $7000 rebate but you can’t use any other rebates with it, so it’s essentially xplan minus $7k. Not sure whether personal offers can be used.
Never heard of a $7,000 rebate, in fact never a rebate close to that amount (usually a few rebates that add up to a bigger number). Every rebate program usually has terms on it and says whether it can be used with other things.
Dealer can run a Smart Vincent report that shows everything you can use on a particular vehicle. Private cash will say what it can be used on model year-wise.

Possibly a 2017 end of year dealer payout. After a certain point, there are no more "manufacturer" rebates per se available, so it goes to a final "dealer payout". At that point, its the amount the manufacturer will reimburse the dealer for any money on that vehicle. So, essentially, the dealer has to just sell the vehicle for what they can get out of it taking into consideration the "payout" amount.
so, its really not called a "rebate", its just the amount a customer can receive off, but the dealer technically has already been paid for it, so its just passed along to the customer as a "discount" not a rebate".
Not sure if this is even correct in the "FORD" speaking, but its definitely the way Dodge/Ram does it.
Realistically, any leftover 17 should be around 23-25% off, and any remaining 16 should be at 30-33% off.
My recently purchased Jeep Cherokee '17 was 28% off. A $29575 model ended up being around 21,200. $8375 was a chunk off!
Likewise, the same '18 model only has a 3500 rebate and any dealer discount (approx 1800), so it was like $3000 more off for the remaining '17.

Go to fordpartner.com and login
Check out a 2017 and where the rebates show up in the xplan price breakdown you will see it.
Trying to find out if anyone has used it. I’ve spoken to two dealers who weren’t even aware of it

If it is a rebate that is published you get the x-plan price plus and available incentives. As has been said your dealer can show you all the rebates that are available on your particular vehicle right on the computer.

I bought mine with x-plan and was given the rebates I was eligible for also. Totaled something like $8700 off MSRP. The dealer told me they did it but other dealers wouldn't so it sounds like it is up to the dealer, not Ford.
This rebate is off the X-Plan price, and rebates have ZERO to do with dealers.
Your dealer was full of it.
