Default XLT sub?

Just purchased a '16 XLT super crew and pretty sure the speakers are horrible. What options are out there for upgrades if I take it to the dealer or somewhere else that aren't crazy expensive? I've read about a Sony system that some have but I don't think I have it. My speaker grills are black/plain. I do have sync 3 with nav.

Thanks!

I added a 10" JL Audio compact sub under the pass rear seat (Super Cab). The cabinet is 1/2" MDF from Home Depot. Amp is NVX MVPA1. 300W really small.

In your case you could install the amp near the sub and run speaker level from the factory rear speakers then adjust bass level with the fader on your factory head unit. I did that on my Dodge Magnum because the battery is also in the back. You would have to run power from the battery thru the firewall. Or you could use the circuit intended for the inverter option. It is already fusen in my truck and ends at the connector near the ebrake pedal.

Check out Stage 3 Motorsports. Upgrades my door speakers and added a Kicker hideaway sub, which is self powered, ands more than enough bass.

added an 8" Kicker Hideaway (sub and amp in one) and it does not sound as good as the JL Audio stealthbox in my old truck it still sounds way better than stock. It is very small and you will not lose any storage space under the seat. Mine fit behind the seat and will still alow me to fold it up and down. I think i got it for just over 200 bucks

I put the bass **** in my trailer brake spot since I did not have or planned to add a trailer brake
