XLT Control Lighting
I have a 2017 XLT Sport. This one (of course) has the manual climate control system, something I have not had for quite a while, and notably have found I miss the convenience of simply setting a temperature and not having to worry about it.
That said, I'm curious about something. On the heat/cooling control **** (the one on the right) there is a white indicator line that shows where on the "dial" you have it set. While from the get go a poor design (you can't see the damn indicator when the dial is turned full towards heat), I do wonder if it is supposed to be lighted (mine is not). I say this as at night even if turned to the left side you still can't see it.
Is this standard with all XLTs or is the micro-light in mine not working?
Thanks.

No light on mine but I can clearly see the white indicator line when it is turned to full heat. I do like the automatic temp settings on my expedition better though, may look into doing the auto temp changeover. Now I gotta start searching for threads to see if it has been done already.
Hate that ****! It needs an indicator light. The HVAC controls on my 2017 XLT are the only part of the truck that I really don't like. The tailgate design doesn't work well with any truck bed seals either. Otherwise I'm impressed with the F150.
The manual AC on my '09 Tundra SR5 had dual zone ***** that could be synchronized and both had indicator lights. They were higher up and easier to see and use.
