XLT Chrome package vs. sport package

They aren't as close as I remembered but those wheels always make me think of a BMW 3 series I had 20 years ago.
After seeing the mess of bubbling rust on the painted bumpers, front and rear, of my 2012 before I traded it I'm back on the chrome bandwagon. I like the look of painted but they just don't hold up in MI.

Definitely the Sport pkg.
But i'm biased as specifically locating a truck with the must have Sport pkg.not only for looks but also the center console shifter.
I personally had enough of the many chrome bumper'd vehicles i've owned in the past.

I thought that since the title of this thread was so appropriate I'd just revive this old topic instead of starting a new thread... I searched but haven't found any posts that would answer my question.
Where my son goes to taekwando there's someone with a Ruby Red XLT with the chrome package and I think the truck looks really nice; I'd have gone that route but I wanted the floor shifter so I had to get the Sport package, and with that you don't get the chrome stuff. So, I've got a 2019 XLT Ruby Red w/ Sport Package.
Chrome vs non chrome is really a matter of personal preference; I am not wild about chroming everything but I do like some. (As for chrome being 'what they used to use a long time ago on old cars', cars and trucks also used to come with front door vent windows which were handy and functional but are gone now.) I've added chrome door handles and tailgate handle to my XLT Sport (I saved the Ruby Reds just in case) and I am wondering, when an F150 comes with chrome bumpers, is the whole bumper chrome or is the chrome vs painted area a skin that can be unbolted and replaced? If changing the bumpers over to chrome is not major I might want to do that... swap in a chrome grille and I'd be set. Thanks.

Thanks very much for that. Just my luck that they aren't both so easy to change but it's worth at least thinking about. Appreciate the response.

Neither one is hard to change, I went the opposite way and replaced both front & rear with RR painted ones lol
A couple of hours MAX is all the time needed to swap everything out.
