Default Would you even consider this?

My salesperson called from my dealership and said he had a really nice King Ranch I might be interested in. ( He knew when I bought my XLT that I really wanted a King Ranch and just couldn’t swing the price) They just took in a 2018 Platinum White King Ranch with 600A, 3.5, sunroof, 3:31 locking rear end, tailgate step, trailer tow,Java leather 5.5 box, 54,000 miles, 20 inch wheels new tires, nice truck, asking 46,800,00. I have a 2019 XLT 302A, 157 wheelbase, max trailer tow with 3.55 locking diff, 20 in wheels, spray liner, pro-X 15 cover, tow mirrors, love my truck, 22,756 miles. Quiet as a mouse 3.5 turbo that has had the phaser recall reprogram! Bottom line they’ll trade me for 5,000.00 difference! I’d love a King Ranch and I only tow 1 or 2 horses at a time with a bumper pull trailer so towing difference isn’t really an issue. Would you even consider this? It’s gold certified so it comes with 7/100,000 powetrain warranty. I’m on the fence but leaning towards the NO side?

That would be a hard truck to say no to, but doubling the miles would give me pause. That's the only negative I could say. Not like it's high miles though and I do love the King Ranch.

A year older, double the miles, 3.31 gears, sunroof and $5k? I say no, but I am not into all that tech either.

Year older truck, double the miles, plus $5k? No way.

Considering you do tow and what you tow,

you’re loosing all that capability.

I'd advise carefully comparing the vehicles on KBB and Edmunds. Also check the payload on the King Ranch and compare it to yours. I think you'll find that you shouldn't have to pay much at all, and $5,000 is too much.

To me, low mileage trumps a lot of "bling". Double the miles, 1 year older, 5k more, I would not. My XLT/302a has all I need in a truck. But sounds like u compromised initially when u bought the truck.... If you are bored with the XLT, and the 2018 has a clean record....satisfy your urge...

If you’ve had your truck since new and fully know the history, I would not trade for used one with double the miles.

Big no. Go forwards, not backwards.
