Worst Mod Ever
2010 Harley F150 had power running boards which worked great. Had to have them on my 2013 Dodge so installed Amp powersteps. 3 step motors later and they just aren't up to par with factory, they ended up being tie wrapped in the up position. The aftermarket steps aren't made for our heavily salted roads in Ontario Canada
Look at which forum discussion this thread was created under....."2015+ F150.
....and thanks, another reason why NOT to buy a used vehicle.
What's the worst mod you have ever done to your truck (or any vehicle you have owned)?
I think we have all tried some mods that just didn't turn out quite like we would have liked them to. I know I have wasted plenty of money on things I thought would look cool. The internet and forums have really changed my approach to mods now. I get to see other people's experience before I commit to a mod now.
The worst thing I have done/regret in my time....
Back in the late 70's I purchased a 1969 Hemi Charger for $4800.00. I cut out the rear wheel wells, glued flares on it, and ruined the thing. I ended up swapping it for a 1982 Chevy Pick Up Truck. If I could turn back time.......

I put a stupid billet grille on my 09 FX4. I had it on there for about 3 months and hated it. I took it off and put the factory back on. I havent had that truck since 10/2014 and that damn thing is still in my garage

Lars- I know this is off subject but I bought a '70 Plymouth Roadrunner in the mid 70's, it also has a Hemi and I still own it today. Back in the day when it was my DD the door handles always worked in freezing temps lol. I probably don't need to tell you what they are worth today.
I tinted my car windows myself about ten years ago. Between the poorly measured cuts, the air bubbles, and the kinks I put in the tint, I really messed it up bad! I just ripped it off, and never told anybody about it. $100 bucks down the drain!
I have never trusted myself to do tint. Just don't have the patience. Same with paint.
