Hey thought I'd try to help out those who are having the same problem as me until it magically fixes itself. (smh).

I've tested this out for the last 4 days and it works everytime for me anyways

Problem: when using android auto, upon start up of Waze, it will stutter and skip, work for about 10 seconds then hang and the cycle repeats. Also until its fully working the Google "navigate to this address" won't work either.

Workaround: connect to AA as usual, then launch Google maps app from the sync 3 screen. Once that loads up and running fine (~20 secs) switch back to Waze and it will be back to normal. Weird but its worked for me the last 4 days.if you try to troubleshoot like I did by clearing cache, clearing data and then resorting to reinstalling Waze on your phone, don't bother. Try my solution first. 🤘

Ps... I'm using the newest version of AA. Which is much better than the old. Go into AA settings on phone and choose/enable the option to "try newest version" towards the top of the menu.

 

Thanks, been having the same issue using Wazr through AA. Waze tracks truck for a few seconds, then loses it, then a minute later picks it up again. (Oops, you've missed your turn now though, grrr).

Just happened to come across the same "fix", figured I'd have to switch to Google Maps and just happened to try Waze again and it worked the rest of the drive. Very Frustrating.

 

Tis frustrating. Mine still does it and now its just habit that I go to Waze then google maps and back to get waslze working. Oh well it's works that way at least.
