Default Wiring Question

I have a 2015 Super Cab XL

I pulled the panel off under the steering wheel and found the wiring harness for the light wheel/switches. Any idea what the yellow UNCONNECTED wire is for?

I also found a connector between the bed liner and the metal frame itself. There is 12 volts to it constantly. Any ideas where it is from, what it is for, and where the power is coming from?

For the bed connector my guess is bed lights? Have you checked for that voltage with interior lights off (door closed) and high-mount light off? Not sure on yellow wire, that's sort of interesting. I'm actually not sure about either one though.

Yellow wire is where they would hook up a snowplow controller if the truck was equipped with one.
