Wiring diagram auto dimming rear view mirror??
On my xlt I have the auto dimming mirror. I bought a Gentex home link mirror to install. The wiring harness for the factory mirror has 5 wires. I'm assuming one is constant power, one switched and a ground. Anyone know what the other two are for?
Here's a pic of the harness

anyone got the pins for the '15 mirro with Sync?
The earlier pinout looked like mine but isn't the mic for the SYNC in the mirror. Also what are the Blue and BU-GY and BRN going to the external mirror for? They are listed as EC Drive and EC GRND. Is that really just the Electrochromatic (auto-dimming)
I plan to add a homelink mirror but don't want to lose any functions from these other items.
THANKS

2015? schematics is showing the microphone in the headliner on all radios...it could be wrong, I haven't looked on my truck. I'll look when I get home.

I unplugged my harness and didn't lose any sync functions that I know of.
If I want to retain the electro chromatic drivers side mirror what needs to be done? Just jump those wires in the harness to carry the signal over?
Seems like the best way for me to do it will be for me to just do an add a circuit for the new mirror and tuck the old harness in the headliner. That way I don't hack up the old harness

the mirror is just an aftermarket gentex so it wouldnt control the autodimming for the side mirror. Its not made for any specific car.
i was wondering if you jumped pins 1 and 11 together and then pins 4 and 15 on the factory rearview mirror harness if that would send the correct signal to the side mirror. Im not super knowledgeable with schematics and electronics.
if i cant find confirmation that it will work or something similiar ill just leave the side mirror alone. Really dont want to jack something up electrical
EDIT: Just thought this through and jumping the pins would power the EC mirror with the key turned most likely and not when the autodimming is sensed.
