Do you have auto-wipers? If so that camera needs to be calibrated with a windshield change. I also heard there is a windshield with Gorilla glass out somewhere.

In NH my insurance company will allow me to insist on OEM glass if the vehicle is within 2 years old. After that if I want OEM I have to pay for it myself.

I've had the windshields replaced in 4 vehicles I've owned over the past 15 years, to include the F150's, 2 years ago. Same auto glass company for all and same insurance co. All replaced, no deductible, its a safety issue.

First off, the workers come and go everyday. So a good experience today might be a bad one tomorrow and vice-versa. I had one replaced and paid the guy with a credit card and the next day I had bogus charges from another state. Not sure if he had done anything but it was during Hurricane Irma and he was also from out of state. I would still use them if I had to since that guy is probably long gone anyway.

Discount Mobile Glass here in Richmond. My truck was 2 months old from build date, leaking windshield. Received a Ford windshield, not aftermarket. No problems since.

Gorilla glass is supposed to be a better stronger option, but when I recently checked the price, it was almost $900. That is without auto wipers and all the crap tech that is attached to or goes through windshields these days. The glass that came on my tuck is exactly $100 more than an option without the Ford logo in the top center. $400 with Ford logo and $300 without it. When I asked the shop I was getting a quote from why they were $100 cheaper than any other shop around, they said they didn't know since they all get their glass from the exact same wholesale dealer. Shop around

I had the windshield on my 2019 replaced about a year after I had it, replaced by Safelite. The windshield was OEM and was ordered through the local Ford dealer.
