Default Window tint

Happy to have a 2015 F150XLT Sport 4X4 302 auto. The rear side and rear window are factory tinted. I want to order a pre cut tint kit for the front side windows. Does anyone know what the factory tint level is? I think it's 35% but Ford can't say so far.

I tinted my 2 front door windows 20 percent and they match quite well.

I concur. I did 35% on my fronts on my 16 at first and it was too light. Redid in 20 and it matched much better. Did 20 off the bat on my 18. Only thing I miss in the factory tint is the ceramic properties of my fronts. Doesn't reject heat quite as well as a good quality ceramic tint.

Pic attached is of my 16 after I did 20%

Second pic is my 18 a couple of days after the 20%

Used tint meter, mine showed 16% for factory rear tint.

Great choice. As long as you don't have any legal issues with it 20% looks the best.

Also I concur, my 20% actually meters at about 17% with the very slight tint already embedded in the glass. Doesn't look like any but there is a very small amount on the fronts as a part of the glass itself.

20% will be a good match to the rear. You can do a clear/light tint ceramic for the rears if you want that extra heat rejection.
