Default Will Sync 2 work in a ‘19?

So my father will be selling off his 2019 f150. He asked if I wanted anything off it. I drive a ‘15 and have always wanted sync 3. My question is if we swap the units will the sync 2 work in the ‘19? Thanks for the help

Buy his '19 and sell your '15. Prices are still high even for older trucks.

Boy would I be upset to learn after the sale the seller downgraded the audio system.
Ask you dad to give you $500 of the dollars he got from selling the truck so you can purchase a sync3 system for your truck.

Yep, should be a direct swap. If your options are different you'd need forscan to change the settings, such as if you have sirius and your dads doesn't

Your better off buying Sync 3 from a supplier with the programing done for your truck and let your dad's truck go as is. Your going to have to do programing for the swap and its not worth the hassle.

The APIM for both trucks would have to be programmed, yes Forscan can be used. If the place your dad is getting rid of the truck at realizes it has Sync2 in it, he may lose money on the deal. No comparison between the two systems.
