Default Will any APIM work?

I need to replace my APIM module, and I'm trying to find the best deal. Will any APIM work? There is many to choose from on eBay. What to look for? My truck is a 2017 XLT 302a 5.0. The number on my APIM is HL3T-14G370-GCE.

I'm looking at one that came from a Mustang, will this work? The number is HR3T-14G370-FCD.

It's made by Panasonic, mine was made by Flextronics.

Any help would be appreciated. I've owned this truck for 6 days, and trying to fix all the gremlins with this being the worst so far.

If you have NAV, you need one that has NAV if you want to keep it. Not all APIMs are the same. When you do your search for the APIM on EBAY, type in your year of your truck. Most sellers have compatibility pull downs to ensure what you're buying fits.

Be sure that the APIM you buy is programmed for your VIN and truck to make things easier for yourself. Most sellers I've seen include the programming. If you have FORscan, you can do it yourself.

You might reach out to @lucas8888 - he sells APIMs and knows them inside and out. There are a few other APIM gurus around here like @Airborne_Ape as well.

If you search, there are at least two fairly current threads on changing the APIM.

Im curious why you have to change it in the first place? because you might not need one at all.
If you had GT Blue Enabled for example it needs to be disabled to fix a major problem ford introduced through their auto updates.

There are millions of AIPM part numbers, but realistically North American ones can be broken down as: Nav, Non Nav, and the thin profile ones found in super duty's
If you have Nav and pull a Nav assembly from another model Ford, yes it will work, but you have to program it to match your vehicle. You can't just plug it in and expect it to function 100%.

User: @TexasFording probably has some he can sell you.
