Default Why would this need a power plug?

So I presumed this was a coin slot, now I’m intrigued. Unless this is just a jumper wire intended for a different option…

I presume your truck isn't equipped with 4WD. Connector for the 4WD selector switch. The coin slot is just a dummy holder for the plug so it doesn't disappear into the wiring behind the dash.

Since you have 2WD (presumably) it could be the connector for a locking differential, which you don't have. The other gizmos in the picture are the controls for a factory trailer brake controller.

interesting. It is 2wd. The PO had a brake controller added. Wonder if I can just added the factory **** set up

I removed my coin holder and replaced it with a 12v USB power outlet with voltmeter.

Aftermarket. I can't find my pics. Just a simple ABS plastic sheet that I cut a hole for the voltmeter and attached it using some 3M tape. I like that it has a power switch on it because the numbers are very bright at night.
