Why will they not align it
Well I know I have to get used to the new steering of this truck. I brought my truck to get the valve stem replace because it was broken and I had the spare on it, less the 600 miles on it. I asked if they could check the alignment because it just does not seem correct. They said they will rotate the tires to see what is causing my perceived problem then do an alignment if it is not corrected. I am just wondering why not just put it on the alignment rack and check it. Am I missing something?
Miscommunication maybe?
Perhaps they thought that you thought that your alignment would be off because you had to put a spare on it and that's a little ridiculous. Did you tell them that the alignment seemed off before you were on a spare? Or does your alignment seem off now that the original tire is back on? I needs the info man.

I have thought the alignment has been off since I took it off the lot. I told the service writer that. It did not get worse because of the spare. It seems to drift to the right even on flat level roads, and when I park it with the wheels straight the right one seems to look like it is toed in a bit, like an old tractor. I also told the service writer that. I think he just hears what he wants and makes a decision from that on what to write up. I will be getting the original tire back on it today and will explain to him again what the problem is and I really don't think it is a tire issue I think it just needs a good alignment. Does Ford align them from the factory or do they have go no go gauges and send them on there way?
Check out this thread and see if this is the issue you are having https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-...-issue-292371/

Well that is the problem in a nut shell. Let's see what they say
I had an "alignment" issue a while back that caught me by surprise. If one front tire has considerably better traction than the other, the vehicle will pull to that to that tire (or more specifically that tire will pull the vehicle). For a truck, this would only be only be relevant on 4WD models, as the perceived alignment issue is with a powered pair of steering tires.
