Default Why all the ‘hate’ for Chrome???

My truck is Magnetic, and it seriously NEEDS more chrome. Here’s my 1st additions:

I’m in my mid-50’s and I can’t determine whether it’s just the younger generation covering their chrome or if I’m just reliving my youth.

I love my chrome contrast against the Blue Jeans metallic.

Dunno. It's more durable for front and rear bumpers as well.

Late 60's here and I don't like chrome on a truck, a Porsche, or teeth.

I'm just the opposite.
Most maybe all of my early vehicles i had since my 1st a '57 Plymouth had chrome bumpers, chrome handles, chrome trim inside and out, chrome hub caps, chrome grills,
chrome key holes, chrome shift levers, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Enough of the chrome for me.

Gotta say though, i like that chrome F150 tailgate emblem.

I know I see a lot of not very old sport bumpers with rust spots. I believe that the chrome is more durable. I love the looks of Sport trucks, but I’ve got the chrome package on my XL.

A few chrome accents can look good. The factory chrome package has a bit too much for me.

In the 70s I hated chrome because I live in the snow belt and rust city. Now I just can’t stand anything shiney. I use flat tire dressing, I even spent $100 a gallon of paint for waterproof flat paint for my bathroom. Zero glossy paint anywhere in my house. That’s just me though.
If they made a flat wax for cars I would buy it

I have the chrome package, on the XL chrome package, the only chrome on the entire truck is the bumpers.
