ok so my old lady surprised me with one. I got all the letters screwed in. It’s ready to go on Monday when I’m off.

My question is: how did you apply it? As you can see by the pics, the border is very narrow. I’m assuming it’s an eBay special, which is fine, but it didn’t come with instructions.

Did you guys use mounting tape? Glue? Which one and what type did you use?

Mine came with 3M adhesive included, the permittee was also wider, looked like you will need some good 3M double stick.

Guys did you buy the "one-piece" applique? That is really what i'm searching for. I've seen too many horror stories on the one's that have the letters separate and bolts scratching up their tailgate, etc etc.

I bought tone from EBAY (the F150 wasn't on it). It was a bit more than the others at about 170.00, but FORD was molded in, came with a primer and the applique had 3M tape on it. I paid a local body shop 50.00 to slap it on. Been through the car wash about a half dozen times along with a brutal rain/snow april here and it's stuck on there very well.

Looks good - can you find a link to it on Ebay? There are so many that require the letters be installed that I am having trouble finding the one's that have the "FORD" pre-molded into the applique.

I think most of us bought the one piece with letters molded in and came with the 3M double back applied, mine went on without a hitch!
