X-plan and dealer is throwing in an Line-X and ordering it as dealer stock. Now I wait...
Throwing in anything of value ($50.01 or higher) is a violation of X-Plan guidelines.
Nominal Gifts

Unless prohibited by your state law, X-Plan customers may accept items or services of nominal value (i.e. $50 or less dealership cost) as a gift or reward in connection with an X- Plan sale or lease. All gifts or rewards offered by the dealership for sponsoring an X-Plan sale or lease must be comparable with gifts or rewards offered by the dealership on retail sales or leases, and may not exceed $50 in value (dealership cost).
Examples of acceptable gifts include a wall calendar, Motorcraft apparel, gas card, an oil change, a car wash, etc, provided the item or service does not exceed $50 in value (dealership cost).
Dealerships may not offer services or items below their market value (dealership cost) to stay within the $50 limit (i.e. $1 for rust proofing or $10 for a bed liner).
No service, accessory or items valued above $50 may be accepted by an X-Plan customer, even if the same offer is extended to non-Plan customers.

That's what I thought, but when I went to the dealer Friday night, the order sheet showed a 3.55, despite me requesting a 3.73 in an email that I sent to my salesman. The manager who keyed in the order wasn't there, so we'll will find out tomorrow if they entered the options wrong or if the system kicked it out.

I had been debating about which gear to get, so it won't be the end of the world if the 3.55 is as low as I can get.

Thanks for that. I've been working with this dealership for 30 years, so we had agreed on the X-plan price, but not going through the whole actual process with the PIN number.

Although I qualify for X-plan, I have found more flexibility in negotiating a purchase price without any qualifying constraints while also beating X-plan pricing, e.g. receiving a total discount on some option in lieu of paying the Advertising Fee (a rip off when custom ordering) or other pricing accommodations. If you live in a competitive market locale, one or more dealers are satisfied to sell a vehicle at invoice and call it a day with the 3% of MSRP holdback.

Sorry, Batman, but you might want to re-think your opinion.

Found this surfing the net, thought it might be helpful to people looking for a Platinum.

I give up. You win. Anybody that buys a 2015 F-150 will never be able to get a good deal. We have expert advice from Batman.

But if you want to really get technical about it, no one has "overpayed" (sic) for a 2015, since no money has changed hands.

If you want to be technical.
