Default Where to buy Painted to Match Mirror Caps?

Where does everyone order PTM Mirror Caps? I currently have chrome and want to get the matching Shadow Black.

Is their a particular vendor or ebay vendor everyone has used and feels comfortable with them?

What should I expect to pay?

I've ordered from OEM Select Auto Parts on eBay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-NEW-15-...item3aaa5619cf

They were expensive ($240 when I ordered, now $270) but good quality.

Can you post a pic of the caps on your truck?

I ordered the ones off eBay. The tri-coat white didn’t match and they chip if you look at them funny. I bought an oem primered set that’s going out for paint this week.

Mine are Ingot Silver (not Shadow Black) but they look identical to the PTM mirror caps that come stock on Lariat Sport and Limited trucks. They are OEM mirror caps and painted with official OEM paint.

I bought PTM mirror caps and door handles from Tasca and had a local body shop paint them. They come primed, ready to paint. The mirror caps were only about $45 each.

I sanded mine smooth and tried to paint them. Looked okay, but color was off. Then I sent them off for paint from a "friend". A little spendy, but I wanted it done right. Color match was perfect.

Ordered some primed caps through Tasca parts today. For all of you who removed them by gently prying the caps off, if a clip breaks does the broken piece stay in the mirror? I don't want something that is going to rattle. I have seen both ways of changing caps and it seems by disassembling the mirror still leads to people cutting the clips off. What part of the "clip" breaks?

Sometimes one of these tabs may break off. If it does happen they are easy to remove.
