Say again why we need these Lug nuts---Even for the New 18's?

Because the factory lug nuts are caps and they have a tendency to swell which causes sockets to to fit properly. You end up having to hammer on a socket which ends up trashing the crappy factory lug nuts. Do yourself a favor and replace them BEFORE you have to.
