Default When ordering...

I plan to order my truck this weekend. As far as paperwork and signing things, are there certain things I should know before doing that as far as making sure I get at a minimum the ford incentives now and if better when truck arrives the better of the two, making sure the truck is actually mine, money down amount, etc? When I asked the sales guy about the amount I needed to put down he said only $100. I thought it seemed a little low and not very promising. I don't want to order truck and wait and then it is sold to someone else or that type of thing. Please tell me your experience and what you did as far as paperwork, etc.

Thanks

I just ordered mine last Friday. $300.00 down, dealer told me I'm locked into the $1,000 rebate, and when the truck arrives if the incentives are greater I will get those.

$500 down for me. Dealer said I had to take current incentive at order OR choose to take what it is at delivery. I chose to take what it is at delivery. I am hoping the April1 incentives get better than the current $1000 on a Lariat. Delivery is due 2April but hasn't shipped yet.

I didn't have to put any money down when I ordered. My order was done through e-mail. I just sent the salesman my build from Ford's website and that was it. Regardless of what you put down as a deposit, the dealership can still sell your order to someone else. Its highly unlikely that would happen so I wouldn't worry about it. The main thing you want to get is a copy of the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement). You will need that to track your order on Cotus.

I ordered a Lariat with no money down and below invoice. I get the 1000 rebate plus any additional rebate/ incentives at delivery. Hopefully they will be better in April. My dealer put my name on the DORA as the customer,

Go in and build the truck you want and get them to give you a price. You should be able to get invoice or close to it.
Hope this helps.
