Default Wheels peeling

I have a 2015 lariot FX4 and was wondering Is there a way to fix or stop the wheels from peeling.

Are they PVD wheels? I have an appt next month with Ford to check my PVD chrome wheels for peeling. It's pretty bad. Hoping Ford will replace them under warranty for my 2016.

Bottom Line... NO.. there is not way to prevent it.

And.. you are not alone... the ALL will peal eventually.

UNLESS, you never drive the truck, and keep it enclosed. then they MAY not peel - until the time you do take it outside.

Over a long time, I've found that the most durable factory wheel finish has been silver paint. MN winters are murder on vehicles, and a painted wheel tends to last here plus they can be easily touched up. Downside is they aren't always the hottest looking wheels....
