the wheels pass the fenders is a new trend makes the stance look aggressive in our trucks , to each it's own no need to stereotype ......
It's a old illegal trend that's a pita for anybody coming at you or behind you. I too am a bike guy and had to retire a helmet 2 seasons ago because of this, and consider myself lucky. Put some damn flares on it. If you got the money to stance it, you got the money for flares.

It can look good on some trucks, but I'm glad mine don't sti k out. Just went mudding this weekend and not much mud was flung on the sides of the truck, making cleanup a lot easier. Now the inside of the wheelwells is another story, lol.

I saw a Ram Dually with all the tires sticking out. Stupidest thing I had ever seen. Would not be surprised if it was breaking two laws, one being too far out of the fenders and the other for exceeding width. Some states do have a width restriction on vehicles.

I don't know why anyone would do this...I also question the handling of this thing! That in itself is a safety issue.

I do trailer my cars to show, but you do occasionally have to drive them in order to circulate the fluids or things stick, degrade and leak.

I dont know if he was meaning it in that sense. To be realistic, the odds of you getting a rock chip from just a regular vehicle vs a truck with wide wheels has got to be 9999999999.999999%-0.00000000001%. Ive only owned my truck for 1 year and my fronts pretty chipped up and its from day to day driving behind regular vehicles. If you that **** about chips and points on a car i would be trailering it for sure

There has been some discussion about how susceptible the paint on these trucks are to chips. I spent a grand to get the clear bra within a week of purchase. I disagree with the idea that wide tires are not more likely to throw rocks. A prior post mentioned off roading with wide tires causing damage to their own vehicle.

I would think we all agree that one should not do something that is likely to damage someone else's property. They use to enforce these laws and ones for excessively loud pipes. It doesn't seem as though they do it anymore. At least not in my area.

With the time and money I have spent on my show cars, yeah, I'm a little bit ****. But this also got me the "Meguiar's Trophy" for best exterior finish at the 2008 Palo Alto Concours d'Elegance. As I said before, I do trailer, but they do have to be taken on the road from time to time. http://www.saloondata.com/cars/detail/?car=351885BW
