Default Wheels, Ceramic Coated?

I'm sure this question has been asked and I did do a search but couldn't find one. I ordered a new set of wheels and tires and they are offering a ceramic coating for the wheels for $179. Is this worth doing and is it effective? I'm new to this stuff so any help would be appreciated.

I'd personally do it myself with some Adam's Graphene Spray. When they are new you won't have to do much prep before you apply. After that, re-apply annually. I think you can get a bottle of Adam's Graphene Spray for less than $50. Coating help protect and make cleaning your wheels much easier. I used the Graphene spray I mentioned and it's holding up great. Had my wheels coated for 4 or 5 months now. It was easy to apply using a applicator pad.

Absolutely worth it. As mentioned, you'd be better off doing it yourself, it's really kind of hard to screw up if you follow the directions.
I did my Hostile wheels and my PVD stock wheels with Avalon King, as I did my entire truck myself as well. Makes cleaning and keepin em clean a breeze.

I usually just use a spray wax after each wash.

Do it yourself. Its super easy and not expensive. I did a couple coats of CQuartz UK 3.0 on my wheels.

I live where they like to use a ton of salt on the road for the winter and I don't do the swapping summer wheels for winter wheels. I used Mothers CMX ceramic spray on my Vision wheels last fall, when I was finally able to give my truck a good wash this spring, they still looked like new. Save your self the $179 and do it yourself, super easy. I am going to doo the rest of the truck with this stuff now.

+1. The Mothers CMX is actually pretty impressive stuff. I was skeptical of this whole ceramic miracle wax stuff until I tried it.

I just mix a 1/2 cup of Mothers in 5 gallons of hot water and wash my whole truck with it fall and spring. Beads water like a duck from windows to wheels.

You need to hand dry afterward to prevent spots but it's not that big of deal.
