Default Wheel size question

I don’t know much about wheel sizes so I’m hoping to get some good pointers. I have a 2015 XLT SC 4x4, all stock. The current wheels I have are the chrome 18” ones that came with the truck. I’d like to replace them with an aftermarket wheel but I’d like the new wheels to sit exactly as the current ones do, flush with the wheel wells. Any idea what I need to ask/look for?

It’s been awhile since I had stock wheels on mine, but I believe for that you’d be looking for an 18x7 rim with a +44 offset

Look at your drive door jamb, it has the OEM wheel size.
The +44 offset is correct.

Swing by some online wheel calculator web sites and compare.
Enter you wheel which I think is 18x8 (or 8.5) +44 offset. Then enter the sizes offered by the wheel manufacturer you find that you like such as 18x9 +20 and see how similar it is to your stock setup. The calculators will show you a diagram of the differences in poke/clearance between OEM and your selected wheel.
