Default Wheel selection help

I am looking to buy a set of used factory F150 rims to mount some winter tires on. I currently have 20s, but 18s are easier to find and that's fine with me. 2016 F150 King Ranch Screw 4x4 From what I've read I need 2015 and up rims. I have however, read that 2009 and up have the same bolt pattern.
Looking for someone to point me in the right direction. Thanks

2009 and up fit with zero problem, not sure about even earlier wheels. The difference I think you're talking about is the thread pitch for the nuts, just have to use your OEM nuts on your truck.

2004 and up are the same bolt pattern, I have 2008 FX2 Sport wheels on my 2015.

And you can even go down to 17-inch wheels as long as you don't have the Heavy Duty Payload Package or the electric parking brake, the wheels may rub with either of those options.

You're correct, if you get wheels from a 2004-2014, you still have to use your lug nuts from 2015 and up as the thread pitch changed in 2015.

Thanks That will give me more options locally. I never did see a reason on why not to use earlier rims, just that a 2015 and up required 2015 and up rims.

Thanks for the confirmation. For some reason the King Ranch rules out the 17" option. And locally, the bulk of the used stuff available is 17"
