Wheel offset
Hey y'all,
New here, first post. I don't consider myself an idiot by any means, but, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around wheel offset for some reason. My 2016 XLT came with 20" OEM wheels, currently I have 18" OEM wheels on it. I'm wanting to go to a 17" and the wheels I'm looking at are 17x8 +10offset. Will they work with 33x12.5? Will I just need to add spacers? Or will there be trimming needed? Sorry if this is repetitive post. If it is maybe share a link to the thread that will clarify it for me!
Cheers!

The factory wheels are +44 offset. So the wheels you're looking at will stick out about 1.25" further than factory. (44-10 = 34mm which equals 1.34 inches). If you have factory fender flares, they will be about flush. If not, they will poke out a little.
The other guys already answered your question but here's a good primer to help you understand how wheel offset works: https://www.theautopian.com/heres-th...uing-about-it/
