I didn't read all of these, and mine is a minor suggestion, but an option in settings to calibrate the rear light sensor or put the sensor in the autodimming mirror on the driver side door rather than rearview. For those of us that put a cap on with tinted rear window, the auto dimming is essentially always off.

I actually like the feature at night, but realize I will no longer have it on my drivers side mirror. the review doesn't matter as it's all darkened thru there anyway.

and as for cylinder deactivation? please no. I'll take my chances on turbos and Auto SS to reach standards for now. Not that I think it's an issue, but a new battery or starter is much cheaper than an engine tear down to fix some rings and clean them to stop engine misfires.

This is one of the more interesting things I've heard lately.
So, the thieves were able to steal cars because the owners domicile was close enough to the car to provide signal? (and maybe the thieves helped, but that's the gist of it).
Wow! Makes me worry about traveling where I like to park CLOSE and in VIEW of my hotel room!

What's the solution? A film bag for keys at night?

2. This is the more important one. Theft. At my last Condo complex, 10 vehicles with push button start were broken into on a single night. They targeted all vehicles with the push button using a range extender. 2 people that had push button cars had the fobs farther away or in something that shielded the signal. It was just way to easy for the thieves to get into once they had the right hardware. 2 of the cars were stolen. (both Mercedes)

Honestly, I'm not criticizing, I'm curious. The truck is not "keyless". You still need to carry that big bulky key around to run it. I'm I missing something? The only difference is, whether you want the key hanging on the wheel or filling a cupholder.

I'd want:
1. Better suspension, like ICON 2.5s all around.
2. Better headlights.
3. Bigger cup holders.
4. Pedal commander type gimmick as option.
5. HUGE reverse lights.
6. NAV that I can actually use while driving.
7. NAV that you can scroll the screen.
8. Shorter radio antenna.

Icons would be nice, but doubt it will ever happen as standard. The vast majority of truck owners never do any mods.

I don't think the pedal commander thing will either. Pedal commander is needed to correct the stock tuning which is done to meet EPA regulations.

Everything else I agree on. Especially the reverse lights. I'm about to add some flush mount LED's to my rear bumper.

IMO it’s keyless. The key stays in my jacket pocket. I don’t need to take it out to unlock it, start it, or lock it. Yes I do still have a fob on me, but it’s much smaller and pocket friendlier than my key to my old ‘13 F150.

All 4wd models should come with fender flares and 4a standard. Make PTM handles and mirror caps options on all trims as well as LED headlights. Things like power steps, bed lights, and mirror spotlights should also be open to all trims. It’s simple, if FORD would pay attention to the most common mods, they could offer these and make more money themselves. I’d have paid a lil more up front if it meant not having to do all these mods myself!!

Drive mode that stays on after you restart.
Would like headlights to turn on when I use snow/wet mode.
Tailgate release button in the cab. (warning if it is open)

I’ve been thinking about this for a few days now because I honestly couldn’t think of any reasonable item that a truck needs that we can’t get....but then it dawned on me: it would be very cool of Ford to bring back a true FX4 trim as opposed to the weak package offering they have right now. The old one had custom seats, lights, interior, etc plus the questionable skid plates and expensive sticker that we get now. Whenever I see the ‘14 model FX4s with those headlights, I get a little bit jealous.

But it other than that, the only thing this truck could use is maybe a center console keurig or a glove box mini bar
