I would also like to disable the auto lock & unlock feature.

Don't know what year your truck is, but this can be disabled from the settings on the instrument cluster on my 2018.

A system that knows you have a trailer attached and disables the remote tailgate drop. Thought I was double tapping the remote start and accidentally hit the tailgate release. Which is right next to it and also requires a double tap. Luckily, i only damaged the plastic trim on the top of the tailgate and not the painted area an inch lower.

Yeah lots of guys have disabled that button on the fob with FORScan for that very reason.

Mine is a 2018 also. I have the option to disable auto unlock for all the doors (when I open the drivers door), but I don't have the option to disable auto lock. Is that how yours is?

Many 2018s are now shipping without the Autolock menu item absent in the cluster menu for some reason but it's something that can be added with this value in the IPC module with FORScan:

720-01-01 xxxB xxxx xxxx - for XL/XLTs
720-01-01 xxxF xxxx xxxx - for Lariat+ trim levels

Note: ignore whatever you have where the x's are above and just change the non-x values in the position indicated.

That's just dumb. Why would FORD think that if you want a LIMITED that you MUST want a SUPERCREW? Its just needless extra space and cost for two people. Oh well.

I want it to go 0-40 faster.

I would love to see certain options and packages made available to more models. Let me add power running boards, Tech Package, or rear heated seats to an XLT or Lariat below 502A. If you want to really focus on safety, like Ford says they do, things like a 360 camera and lane departure should not be isolated to just high trim models.

I'd also love to see all SuperCrews get a fold down armrest in the rear seat, not just Lariat and above.

Same as every year I would like to see the full back window roll down instead of just having the crappy porthole.

I wish Ford had a "Bed Watch" camera... part of the Brake Light, that would show you your load, so you could monitor it while in transport.

tailgate like the gm or at least a power up mode.

In the next couple of years

Coming from this truck I would like to see the following in the next couple of years:

- Ability to not have to cycle through all the audio options on the steering wheel M button to get to AM or FM from Sync if that makes sense.
- In floor storage like the... RAM's
- Sort out the annoying 10spd tranny clunks and noises in the 5.0 V8
- Heated rear seats and steering wheel on XLT 302A's would be nice
- Ability to turn off the reverse ding's on a go forward without selecting the option each time - I might not have figured this one out yet.
- Dampened tailgates standard equip.
- More camera's!!!!!!!!!!
- Standard HID's LED's for headlights (come on ford the trucks already expensive)

Go back to the single pane moonroof. Every F150 I owned had one without any issues.
Make Nav input available while driving. My Corvette does this.
This bugs me because you can search through all of your music while driving, but you can't put an address in. Voice input sucks.
Make Start/stop a toggle.
Give us a decent set of 20" tires.
Get rid of the black gloss door pillars. They scratch like hell.

Stever39 09-26-2018 07:49 PM

Better cup holders!!! Also, more soft touch panels and less hard plastic on the interior.

SCrewYou 09-26-2018 07:58 PM

led headlights standard. its the one thing gm got right on their 2019.

I’d love a better front hub system since that’s the only thing I’ve had trouble with. Redesign the trailer safety chain loops they are poorly designed and several of my trailers safety chains do not fit correctly on this trucks safety chain locations..slow opening tailgate should be standard on 302A XLT or at least an option. Heated steering wheel should be available on 302A XLT with heated seats,I don’t understand this.

I agree on the things that should be on a 302A. GM and Ram have these things on their comparable trims.

As far as the WiFi update goes, I tried to get it to work one day, but didn't have any luck. Left the auto update setting turned on and magically about 2 months later I got a new alert when starting the truck about connecting to available WiFi networks. Thought that was weird, checked my SYNC version and sure enough, I suddenly had 3.0.

updatong. My Co worker has a Silverado and it is a 2LT Trim it has everything mine does and 4A slown opening tailgate , 2 grab handles , auto climate control w independent temp for driver passenger....
