What are these plugs for ?
Hi guys, 2018 Lariat and I've got rubber plugs in all the doors and I'm curious as to what they're for as they seem to be for holes where rust protection is sprayed although the truck is new and I haven't had it undercoated.
Single plugs are 1/2 way up the inside of the doors and double plugs are along the bottom.
Appreciate any ideas.

I believe they are fixture holes for jig where the doors are made. such that the stampings are set together and sealed up- with the cavity under pressure - and the welds put down. then the pressure is released and the door comes out of the jig. and the rest of the parts of the door are assembled.
It's a guess on my part as I've not seen the build up but I believe that is how it is done.

Here in the Great White North they are used for spraying rust prevention into the door. They started to appear on most vehicle a few years back and majority of people thought they were pre-drilled for the rust prevention instead of some yahoo with a drill putting holes in your vehicle. This way the edges are still painted.
