Default What the sync!

In the event you're going to flag my post please note I've searched the forum for a similar post only to be lost in a world of dead old posts that have no relation to my issue.

I've got a 2018 F-150 XLT sport SCREW 5.0 - My SYNC3 system is starting to get on my last nerves.

Whether my phone is plugged in or on bluetooth (while parked waiting for someone or the kids watching something) the audio with Youtube/Netflix etc. tends to go out of sync. It is only when I pause the video and play it again that it syncs for a mere minute.

What am I doing wrong? Is this normal? How can I fix it? Or am I SOL. HELP!

Is it starting to get slow? Kinda "jumpy"? Bluetooth dropping from time to time? Nav showing loss of GPS lock?

Yes yes yes yes! The part the bugs me the most right now is the lag in audio when streaming.

Get ready for the APIM swap. Same issues here, now I'm just waiting on the part to arrive.

Dying APIM. Take it to the dealer. This is sadly all too common. I dropped one on my 2016.

BTW, when they fix it, they're probably going to start by reflashing the firmware and doing a master reset and saying "all good!". Make sure you test it before you leave... if you're experiencing those systems, a firmware flash and reset will NOT fix your problem.

My service department is good so I'll mention it on my next visit. I think I'll compile a list of things then get them to do everything at once. I'm assuming the APIM is the brains of the SYNC3 system. Thanks for the info guys. Much appreciated.
