Thanks.

Took me ten minutes to get my hand down in there far enough to feel the short tiny strap and get my pinky finger in it to pull up. I've since tied a long cord around it for future use.

Has anyone installed the n fab step bars. Im debating on them bc 1. I like the look and 2 biggest reason i have big a** feet and the way the factory bars sit everytime i wear my boots and not paying attention my foot drills the paint where you step in. Done scuffed it once and installed the expel. Bought thought the n fab looked like they will delete your foot being so close.

I would say these bars keep your foot from hitting the truck but you do lose step space for your foot compared the OE side steps. The steps are so close to the main bar that your foot will not go all the way through so you are basically stepping on the step with your toes unless you turn your foot parallel to the truck and place it on the step.

I always do this as soon as I get my truck. The underside was still very clean so I didn't do any prep.

If there is dirt of course you will need to clean it all off.

You don't need to rough the surface for undercoating. You can also do multiple layers if you desire. It adds some sound deadening also.
