Besides the color changing ability mentioned above, my truck does not have:
1. Gear indicator lighting
2. Lighting at top of cupholders (just a light down inside)

I think the rest of the lighting is the same.

It doesn't indicate what gear you're in.

AFAIK, it's still called gear indicator lighting? Maybe we can call it gear selection lighting since it gives you the choices, but doesn't indicate?

I just miss the color changing option. Had it in my Lincoln and it was always fun with passengers.

You can add the multi-color ambient lighting back. Swap the modules for the 2015-2016 version and tweak the APIM with Forscan to allow access to that menu. I did my 2018 that way.

Personally, I never understood ambient lighting inside the cabin. Most of my driving is done during hours of darkness / low lighting and I want the interior to be as dark as possible. I usually turn off the SYNC screen and have the dashboard lights as low as possible, which is sometimes still too bright, since I upgraded to a Livnitup 8" display. The less light light inside the cabin improves your night vision.

That's why I run red, and keep it turned down pretty low. And the dash stays dimmed to minimum.

What color do you set it at? I was thinking red to go along with the red accents. Or is that too much red?
