Hello! I had a tail light bulb go bad on my 2020 F150, passenger side. While this isn’t the reason for the post, 10.00 for two tail light bulbs was a bit over the top. But when I removed the tail light, I seen what looks like a grease fitting. Does anyone have any idea what this would be for? Thanks!😊

Was that actually hidden? It looks like the hinge port were an after market tailgate damper connects to.

 

If you look on the back of the light housing, you'll probably find an indentation where that nipple fits. It holds the light housing in place.

 

Agree with Taggart, and also keep in mind bulbs purchased from online retailers are likely much less expensive. I see some multi packs that come out to cost only about $1 per bulb.

 

This is correct. It’s where the damper for the OEM Ford type tail gate damper/assist goes.
