Default Welp....

I had this big plan, that I was gonna save all my pennies for the next three years for a big down payment, knowing the V8 was returning to the Raptor. I retire in nine years, figured I would drop a big down payment, finance the rest for 6 years and it would be paid off right before I retire and be my "drive it til one of us dies" truck. Then the '21's come out....and I'm really not find of how they look. Nor the likely 100K (or more with dealer mark ups) price tag that will surely accompany the Raptor "R". My other thought was if not the Raptor, then a TRD Pro Tundra. My brother had one and I loved it. Come to find out Yota is ditching V8s.

Bought my '14 as a leftover when the '15 redesigns came out and got a good deal.... and I've thought the '18-'20 F150's were the best looking since the 78-79's. Soooooo why not just pull the trigger now? Traded in the '14 for this beauty. I'll miss my leather, HID lights, Borla AtaK exhaust, and lift...but I can add those over time. Can't add the tail gate stepthough..that I WILL miss. Despite all that, super happy with the new one.

Nice truck and solid plan too. I retire as well in 9 years and depending on your age, the raptor my not be as fun as it sounds when you get there. Plus as you said, the cost differences are huge. Heck, you may be able to take some nice vacations between now and retirement instead of having to pay off a larger loan.

Definitely a huge difference, haha. After trade in and rebates I only paid 28K for this one.

Could have considered the T-Rex instead. A lot of money but man, that 700 hp has got to be fun.

My early retirement present was a 4LT 2012 Centennial Grand Sport Corvette convertible. The 2015 Lariat Supercrew is my daily driver. Kinda thinking about a Bronco when the time comes to replace the F-150.

Good choice on color and engine! I would take those hideous graphics off though!

Sweet truck. Love that grill (in a strictly platonic way, of course). I guess they kept the side mirrors black to blend into the side stripe, cause your door handles are PTM. Those are some of Ford’s best looking wheels, IMO.
FANTASTIC DEAL. you got that for slightly less than I OWE on my 2019 STX. Being underwater on my trade in sure hurt ;(

just curious, why can't you add the tailgate step? can't you just swap out tailgates for one that has it?

You kiddin me.....that is the best thing ford could have done to enhance the boxy look ........ I guess to each his own.....I wouldn't buy one without......and the blue color was my second choice after pure white with black decal strips.....better than the lariant strip decal that has a line of red in it.....
