My 2016 XLT with Sync 3 touchscreen has been doing something weird. I do not have the climate control option on my screen, as there is no thermometer icon on the bottom of the screen and as far as I know I did not pay for that option. Yet, a couple of times when I've started my truck the screen shows it being in climate control mode. You can operate the air/heat from the screen as if I had that option, but I do not. When you touch another option such as apps or radio the climate control disappears, and obviously there's no way to navigate back to that screen because there's no thermometer icon to touch.

WTH is going on??? It's done this at least twice, and this last time it did it I just left the display on the climate control screen just to see how long it would stay. I can turn off the truck and crank it back up and it's still there. It's really weird.

My truck only has ~2400 miles on it since it's not my daily driver. I've had it for a little over three months.

 

Mine has done that a few times as well.

 

I guess if it's not causing problems it's nothing to worry about.

 

There are a few threads on it. It's a unfixed glitch. I'm just too lazy to search for the links for ya.

 

Mine did this once in accessory mode but I can't get it to repeat it. Now my max AC light dosent come or max defrost either.

No prob! I'll do a little searchin' and see what I come up with.

 

Even if you don't have this option in your truck, you can make the climate controle appear on your screen and adjust few things.

To make it appears press ac and recirculation button at the same time twice!
