Question Weird slippery issue

Yesterday while driving in the rain on the highway, I started to pass someone and the truck downshifted as usual and my truck got squirrely as if I was on ice. No ice at 55*. And it happened a couple more times. My truck is a 2018 5.0 4x4 screw. And yes my tires are great. Falken AT. Curious if anyone else has experienced this ? First time for me.

had it been raining long? If the rain had recently started then the oils and other fluids are still on the road and can make the surface very slick until said fluid have a chance to run off the road.

What is your tire pressure?

lots of guys run their pressure way too high and can have an impact on wet weather handling.

hopefully it’s between 32-42 depending on P or LT.

Yes, has happened to me. '18 5.0 . On forced downshift, it gets right into the power band, with a light or no load in the bed has stepped out a bit in the rain.

Oh yeah, has happened a couple times. Just got off the fuel, straightened right up, and a little easier on the pedal.

Just wait till you're driving along for a few hours in the summer on those AT's. It feels like you're driving on winter tires if you get over 70. I really don't like Kansas, but I was getting almost 30 MPG with that tailwind.

Happened to me on the stock Hankooks on a bumpy bridge transition. The transition takes the load off the rear end, then once you land the truck gets loose.
