Weird Click/Tick
So, I am new to this forum. But I joined to ask this question, amongst others, so bear with me. I'm 15, and my dad passed away 3 weeks ago. I took the inheritance of his 2015 F150 Lariat. I'm learning about these now as I have worked on cars, and built motors my entire life. I have no idea what this noise is (personally I think it sounds like when you overwind a toy car and forcefully push it across the ground super fast.) We asked ford a while ago and they said they fixed the problem which never stopped, and I'm super lost about what it could be. Its a 2.7 TT V6, with about 185,000 miles on the clock. Again I'm learning as best as I can so that I can have a safe and long-lasting truck. It also almost stalled in the video, but probably an unrelated issue. Let me know what you think it is.
1. Sorry for your loss.
2. Welcome.
3. Check the heatshield clamp on the crosspipe. Tends to rust and break. Sounds like a shield rattling to me. May not be the crosspipe clamp, could be another shield somewhere making contact and vibrating.
4. Again, sorry to hear about your loss.

I'm sorry to hear about your father passing, I was your age when my father passed, I feel your pain. Have you figured out the problem with your truck ? check engine light on ? Do you have a code reader or forscan ? If not you can Google ford engineering mode, that will bring up dtc codes if any.
