Default Water Pump ?

How many folks have had their or know of the water pump on these ecoboost engines fail with no warning? No prior weep hole leak? Do they ever on these engines just fail catostropically?

Or do they always start weeping first

Didn't notice the weeping but it might have been happening. Happened to me last week, the week before I noticed the coolant was low, I added to it. Then the next week I added the same amount, went shopping for a road trip and when I got back home it started puking coolant all over the driveway. Watch the youtube video, looks simple enough, called Ford dealership they had it on hand, had it replaced in 2 hours made it to road trip destination. My 2015 just recently hit 100,000 miles, hard miles I should add, a lot of off-roading and overlanding.

Might not see minor weep from the housing vent for quite awhile due to the fiber shield under the front of the engine.

all the pumps are a VERY COMMON failure point, the 2.7, 3.5, 5.0, etc....
