Default Water pump

Roll call if your water pump has failed. My 2016 went out almost without warning at 100,187 miles. exactly 187 miles out of warranty.

Luckily I had just parked when it went as it dumped my entire radiator in about 20 seconds. I has parked and was listening to the sound it was making. I was only 2 miles from a dealership so made it no problems with overheating.

is it common for these to go so bad so fast.

Must just be bad luck. My "65 Ford Falcon Ranchero is coming up on 2,000,000 miles and I haven't done anything to it since it I bought it home from the dealer brand new. Never changed the oil or the oil filter or the air filter. Never changed the plugs, wires, cap or rotor button. Never even had to change a bulb or tires (did rotate the tires though, once). Original everything (even the air in the tires from 1965), never needed anything. I guess they just don't make 'em like they used to.
